Cook Time:5 minutes
Total Time:5 minutes
Yield:1 serving 1x
Ingredients
Scale
1 slice of bread (any kind)
1 tablespoon Butter
1 large Egg
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
With a cookie cutter or rim of a cup, or top of cooking spary, press a hole in the center of the slice of bread.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and melt the butter. When the butter is melted and swirled, place the piece of bread in the skillet and crack the egg straight into the center of the hole.
Sprinkle the egg with salt and pepper. After about a minute, flip it over with a spatula and salt and pepper the other side. Make sure the bread gets all of that melted butter all over it.
Allow the egg to cook until the yolk feels soft and the toast is golden brown.
