Cook Time:15 minutes
Total Time:25 minutes
Yield:around 40 cookie bars 1x
Ingredients
Scale
¾ cup Butter, softened
3 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
1½ cups packed Light Brown Sugar
½ cup Granulated Sugar
2 Large Eggs
3 teaspoon Vanilla
3½ cups All-Purpose Flour
3 teaspoon Cornstarch
1½ teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teapsoon course Sea Salt or ¾ tsp Regular Salt
2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1–2 cups M&Ms
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a large cookie sheet 15”x11” with cooking spray and set aside.
With your mixer, cream together the butter, softened cream cheese, brown sugar and granulated sugar for 1-2 minutes.
Add wet ingredients; eggs and vanilla, continue mixing for 3 minutes or until mixture is very light and fluffy. Scrape sides down halfway through mixing.
Add dry ingredients now; flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt and mix until well combined. Add chocolate chips and m&ms (only if you choose) and mix or stir until combined.
Scoop mixture out evenly over baking sheet. I like to press the cookie mixture down evenly with my hand. *A good trick to do is grease your hand with cooking spray or even my hands are a little damp with water works as well.*
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. You don’t want it cooking for too long because you still want the cookies to be soft and chewy.
Remove cookie sheet from oven and allow to cool completely. *I always will put them in the fridge to cool faster because I usually have kids running around asking 100 times if they can have one*
