Labor Day has arrived!
This holiday truly marks the end of summer by giving all of those a day off of work, which to the majority of us is a blessing.
It’s a day where friends and family join together in BBQ madness, parades, and celebrations.
It’s a day where moms and dads cruise around shopping Labor Day sales.
But really though, what is Labor Day? and why do we celebrate it?
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the first Labor Day was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City as the idea of a labor movement. In 1884, the first Monday in September was chosen as the official date to celebrate this “workingmen’s holiday.”
So if your at home firing up the grill, deciding on whether you should make those succulent cuts of steak, burgers, or chicken kabobs, make sure to remember something sweet to satisfy that sweet tooth.
One last thing is to never forget something cool and refreshing to top off your day!
So although Labor Day marks the end of summer, it means that stores are getting ready to unleash their inner gobblins…
Let’s get ready for trick-or-treating and lots of candy !
