Caramelizing onions have so much flavor they are a great addition to any sandwiches, hamburgers, or even by themselves. If you have problems with this little technique do not worry, here are a few steps for perfect caramelize onions.
- Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add thinly sliced white onions. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring frequently and onions are lightly browned.
- Reduce heat to low. Add 1 tablespoon butter. Cook 25-30 minutes or until onions are completely browned and all the liquid has evaporated.
- Season with salt and pepper.
