What are S’mOreos you may ask???
Well, they are just Oreos® + chocolate bar + a big marshmallow = YUMMINESS!!!
I have never been a huge fan of s’mores… I mean I like them and I love chocolate but I have to really be in the mood for them. Now Oreos®, that’s a completely different story. I’m a nut for Oreos®!
My kids they absolutely LOVE s’mores. I actually don’t believe there is a dessert that they wouldn’t eat… HA! They get that from their momma 🙂
So I decided to combine my love for all things Oreo with the gooeyness of s’mores, and BA BAM… what a treat was made!!!
S’mOreos
- Total Time: 5 minutes
- Yield: as many as you want
Ingredients
- Double-Stuffed Oreos®
- Large Marshmallows
- Hershey Bar (divided per 2 squares per Oreos®)
Instructions
- Twist one Oreo® so that the top and bottom are separated. Double-stuffed Oreos® are the only way to go.
- Face the filled side up, and put the chocolate squares on top. Then layer the marshmallow on top. Put aside the top half of the Oreo® for after.
- Now this next step is completely up to you… You can now place the top half of the Oreo® on top and place the S’mOreo inside a microwave and warm up for a few seconds. OR!!! You can do what I did and keep the top part off for the moment place the Oreo® with the chocolate and marshmallow in the oven and broil it for a few minutes so that you get that campfire smoky flavor. COMPLETELY up to you.
- If you chose the oven way take melted chocolate and marshmallow goodness out and top with top Oreo®.
- Now it’s my favorite part… Time to EAT it!
I’m not a huge Oreo fan myself, but I have a feeling my youngest son would think these are beyond awesome!
