ThatsSoYummy’s 1st Food and Wine Mixer – Preview

Ok guys! So ThatsSoYummy’s 1st Food and Wine Mixer is this Saturday at 6pm, and I have been running around finalizing menu ideas, favors, desserts, and drinks.
Everyone is supposed to either bring in an appetizer of their choice along with their recipe.  If they opt out of this option they are to bring their favorite wine.  I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.

As for right now I know that the possibilities of some people bringing are: C’s California Rolls aka Sushi rolls (which sounds soooo YUMMY!), Saltfish Fritters(love it), Jenny’s barbecue rolls (hmmmmm…. very curious of those), Callaloo Fritters (specialty in Jamaica) and plenty of other dishes.

Here is what I have FINALLY decided all on…. with the help of some fellow foodies.

* Stuffed Mushrooms

* Cheese Puffs (filled with cream cheese, herbs, and sundried tomatoes…. can’t wait for these)

* Mini Italian Sandwhiches (which I am adapting from Giada DeLaurentiis)

* Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip (this is one of my favorite dips)

* Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies

* Lemon Bars

I know after seeing this menu sounds like a lot for one person to do, but I have split it all up within this past week. (Hence, why my posting has been so little…. sorry guys, but will be back on it FULL FORCE after this weekend!)

Oh My….. How could I forget the favors.

So I made little notecards on vistaprint (love them) with a little overview of what ThatsSoYummy is all about and the upcoming and future projects.

Heres the back of the notecard, it contains the Banana Bread Recipe……

They came out GREAT!!!!!!

I found these medium sized transparent chinese boxes which i filled with colored cray paper and I made the cutest little petite mini banana bread loaves, that will be inside the boxes.  I tied the notecards onto the chinese boxes with raphia.  They are adorable (picture will be posted soon).

So stay tuned for full detailed pictures of all the recipes I will be making for tomorrow night along with pictures of the event itself. I will also be photographing each appetizer each guests brings along with the recipe for that dish.

I know… its LOTS of recipes and pictures.
