Every year if your like my husband and children you wait impatiently for the month of February to roll by because of one thing and one thing only… GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SEASON!!!!
I mean its every where you turn little adorable girl scouts asking you to buy some scumpdiliumptious cookies that you know you can only once a year. I mean I know people who buy tons of boxes and store them in their freezer so they can have them for later in the year.
It’s crazy! 🙂 But a GREAT crazy!!!!
This year I was contacted by the Girl Scouts in Citrus Orlando to promote National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend which is this February 27 – March 1st, and cookie for all you cookie loves you can find a cookie booth near you at www.citrus-gs.org/booths.
To name a few cookies that showed up on my doorstep were Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies, Cranberry Citrus Crisps, Shortbreads, Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Thanks-a-lots, Peanut Butter Patties, Lemonades, and Gluten Free Trio Cookies.
As you can see some couldn’t wait to jump right in to the cookies…
In honor of Girls Scouts all across America and the fact that we wanted to use a girl scout cookie box in our recipe we decided to make Thin Mint Smore’s… Yep Heaven! So simple and easy, all you need are two Thin Mint cookies, a large marshmallow and if you really wanna be decadent add a piece of a chocolate hershey bar.
